Kerala trip from Bangalore

Visited Kochi many times. however, this trip we had in April 2018 covered many places like Alappuzha, Kochi and Munnar. We booked the tickets in the Indian Railways that offered 50% discount for students and teachers. We went to Ernakulam from Bangalore. The train started from Bangalore in the evening and reached Ernakulam in the early morning. The night was on the train.

We prearranged bus from Railway Station to Munnar (126 km). Munnar is a hill station in Idukki District of Kerala. It has an elevation of 1,600 metres above Sea level. We have to cancel the Eravikulam National Park due to some maintenance work there.  Eravikulam Park has many diversities, flora and fauna, a former hunting place, now a Park of wildlife. It was declared Sanctuary in 1975 mainly to protect Nilgiri Tahr (endangered mountain goat) and in 1978, declared as a National Park for its Zoological Significance. We visited a Tea Factory and a Lake among the many visits.

From Munnar came to Kochi for a visit and went to Alappuzha for boat ride and returned to Bangalore. Since it was a concessional pay in the Indian Railways, the trip was cheaper economically, though we spend 3 days.
