Siloni Picnic Spot (Assam) is one of the best Places
to visit during summer and to spend a day with friends and family.
It is located Longnit, Karbi Anglong, Assam, less than
50 km from Dimapur, or, less than 28 km from Diphu Town, around 3Km from Dimapur and Nagaon highway (some road works are going on in the Manja - Nagaon sector as of January 2023). If you are coming from
Guwahati or Nagaon side, turn left after a river bridge; if you are travelling from
Manja or Dimapur side, turn right 8 to 9 KM after Manja Junction. There
is enough parking available for buses, cars and motorcycles.
Mountains, a river/stream and trees, a real fest for nature lovers. Bring clothes for a bath in the stream/ river if the water levels are permissible. There are many cooking spots available; therefore, bring enough firewood and cooking items to cook a meal, eat, enjoy a bath in the river and spend the day, one with the nature. The place has a cafeteria also.
I visited this place two times; onetime I went with friends in the motorcycle and another time in a car. Both the times carried lunch and ate and relaxed near the waterbody. It was enjoyable. There is a ticket for entrance both for person and vehicle.
